Learning to play the Gospel Guitar: FAQs
Q: Will Play Gospel teach me how to play the guitar?
A: Yes. Of course, it also depends on how much and how often
you practice. Work through the CD systematically and do new exercises.
Practice the songs and keep going, no matter how difficult it
is in the beginning. If you can already play an instrument, chances
are that you will learn faster as well. Don't be discouraged if
it takes longer than you had thought.
Q: Why should I go for Play Gospel?
A: There are very little products on the market that are
tailored specifically at those wanting to specialise in playing
gospel music. The guitar tuition is the same as most other programmes,
but the unique feature of this product is that it contains 15
gospel songs, including popular Christmas carols and favourite
modern songs with easy-to-read tablature.
Q: What PC do I need ?
A: Any PC with 16Meg ram is ideal. This package is not a game
that requires quick response. The program was also tested on an
old 486dx66, and actually ran, although not well as it was painfully
slow, but it still makes it possible to work with the program
- those that have petrol driven PCs - tough luck! It's also been
run on Windows 95, 98, Millineum and XP - all with great results.
Any pair of speakers are fine, and the sound card can be 16 bit
or bigger, all with the same quality sound as the recordings are
MP3, not MIDI.
Q: What songs can I learn to play?
A: Play Gospel has 15 songs ranging from children's
songs like He Lives and I have decided to follow Jesus, to Christmas
songs like Silent Night and modern songs like Celebrate Jesus
and Come, Now Is The Time To Worship.
